Busken Bakery creates a BRAILLE cookie
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Busken Bakery will help commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Cincinnati Association of the Blind & Visually Impaired (www.cincyblind.org) with a limited-edition Braille cookie. The 4-inch sugar cookies featuring the CABVI's logo and initials in Braille will be available at all ten Busken Bakery locations from Wednesday, August 3 - Saturday, September 3. Each cookie will sell for $2.00 each of which Busken will donate half to the CABVI.
Braille is a system of writing and printing that uses varied arrangements of six raised dot cells that represent letters and numbers that can be identified by touch. That's what you will see (and feel) on the cookies once you press the candy dots that will accompany each into the icing on top of the printed dots. Every cookie will also come with a Braille alphabet card, so you can translate it for yourself.
