Monmouth will shut down to traffic, yet be full of cars, at car show Sunday | Arts & Culture

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - The City of Newport and KY Car Classics Car Club will host “Rides on Monmouth” Car Show on Sunday, August 28th . Cars will be on display on Monmouth Street between 3rd and 10th Streets. The event (rain or shine) will be from Noon until 5:00pm and will include a Sidewalk Sale for business owners.

It's free for spectators.  

For  car owners:
    $15 registration 9am-Noon at 7th Street (City Parking lot next to Pepper Pod)
    Noon – 5:00pm Car Show and Sidewalk Sale – Judging for Entries
    5:00pm – Announcement of car winners, T-Bird Raffle winner and Door Prizes distributed
    Top 75 and 15 Specialty awards will be presented – dash plaques for the first 200 cars

For local business owners: Support “Rides on Monmouth” and promote your business by donating a door prize (gift certificate/merchandise) to registered car owners. If you want to participate, please call 859-655-6341 or e-mail: bholiday@newportky.gov for delivery or pick-up arrangements.
