HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY (FOX19) - Gospel music fans in Cincinnati are anticipating the return of renown singer, songwriter Bill Gaither and his Homecoming Friends, as they bring their inspirational music and message to the Bank of Kentucky Center at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights on Saturday, December 10, at 6:00pm for a Christmas music spectacular.

Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the Bank of Kentucky Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets may be charged by phone by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Earlier this year, their latest CD, "Greatly Blessed", was released by The Gaither Vocal Band, with its all-star line-up of Mark Lowry, Michael English, David Phelps, Wes Hampton as well as Gaither. The recording features Gospel classics, as well as inspiring melodies that audiences of all ages have embraced. The tour stop in Cincinnati is one of 20 stops the popular group will make this Fall in follow-up to their exciting spring worldwide tour, which took them to more than 30 cities throughout the United States, Europe, South America and South Africa.

This year marks two decades since the Gospel music pioneer began recording his Homecoming series of videos. Since that time, the Indiana native has seen nearly every video turn to gold and platinum. The multi-Grammy Award winner has taken his Homecoming Tour into cities worldwide, performing to packed houses, boasting attendance figures exceeding 1.1 million and enjoying being ranked at the top of the list for most concerts tickets sold worldwide in any music genre.

Joining Gaither and his multi-award winning Gaither Vocal Band for the Cincinnati Christmas event will be The Martins, The Isaacs, Buddy Greene, Charlotte Ritchie, Gene McDonald, The Booth Brothers, Gordon Mote and Kevin Williams. Each performer has been honored with awards and accolades; however, as Gaither notes, his personal greatest joy is being able to continue to bring the music to the people. “Awards, acclaim, gold albums cannot compare to the simple joy of being able to do what we love, after all these years, knowing that our work is still finding its way into the core of people’s lives.” Gaither adds, “It all began as we were just writing songs out of our daily struggles and questions...but it struck a chord in lives.”

As Gaither celebrated his 75 birthday in March, he has no plans to slow down, as long as the music continues to “strike a chord” and change lives.
