Block-BUSKER weekend ahead at Newport on the Levee | Arts & Culture

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - Newport on the Levee will host Big Show Busker Weekend from Friday, July 13 - Sunday, July 15. This three-day extravaganza is a free event featuring some of the best street performers in the United States and abroad. There will be circus-style acts, jugglers, magicians, musicians, escape artists, and so on putting up some of the best outdoor shows around.

What is a Busker, you may ask? A Busker is an individual who entertains the public in exchange for tips. This includes jugglers, magicians, musicians, balloon artists, dancers, and so much more.

Check out some of the performers who will be coming to Big Show Busker Weekend!

• Keith Fields is an internationally-known performer. He has been on numerous TV shows, performs
  on countless cruise lines, is a published author, and also won “Street Performer of the Year” in
  England.
• Travis Fessler of the Pickeled Bros. Circus and his brother Erick
  are both Guinness World Record holders and have been featured
  on Jay Leno. They provide sideshow entertainment with a family feel.
• Paul Miller, founder of Circus Mojo, has devoted 15 years to
  circus clowning, street performing, and creating self-improvement
  programs based in the circus arts.
• Bobby Maverick is a nationally recognized performer who has made
  a name for himself as a Street Entertainer all over the United States.
  Having won numerous awards, and being featured on the cover of
  numerous magazines, Bobby is also the founder of Big Show
  Busker Weekend and Busker Gear.
