NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - Newport-based printer Multi-Craft has been around for more than 55 years, but it's practically a baby compared to printing industry trade association Printing Industries of America, now celebrating its 125th year, whose president will be in the Tri-state next Tuesday during International Printing Week.

PIA President Michael Makin will kick off the local celebration by addressing the local Ohio and Northern Kentucky PIA group at breakfast at the Kenwood Country Club. Then he will tour Multi-Craft, which has been a member of PIA since the company’s founding in 1955. "It's important to look at our history to not only see what we've accomplished, but to learn from our past," Makin said.  "This association has grown and evolved over the years to nurture printers as they've embraced change in the industry, and we're excited to look back and explore our rich history. There’s certainly a lot of information to glean from the past 125 years."
