NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - 75 years after the worst flood ever to hit Cincinnati, historians and history buffs will revisit some of the hardest-hit areas on the Belle of Cincinnati.
The Ohio River crested at record 79.9 feet on Jan. 26, 1937, and caused $20 million in damage. One-fifth of Cincinnati and one-third of Newport and Covington were under water.
The cruise is Saturday, January 21, boarding at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast and dinner will be served on board; lunch will be served at the Belle's stop in Rabbit Hash, Ky. The Cruise returns at 8 p.m.
