Big Brothers,Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati Day | Community Spirit

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - January is National Mentoring Month and city officials what to highlight this cause with a variety of community events.

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory has proclaimed January 26th,  2012 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati Day.    

It is also National Mentoring Day with opportunities to publicize the importance of mentoring in the community.

High school Big Sisters from Ursuline Academy will be spending time with their Little Sisters at Corryville Elementary or at St. Boniface from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Also, Bigs and Littles from the Community Based Program will celebrate the Big Brothers Big Sisters Day at Gameworks at Newport On The Levee from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Statistics show that, of children involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati, 99% are in school and not involved with the juvenile justice system.
