ALEXANDRIA, KY (FOX19) - On Sunday, August 7, the Chrome Divas’ Northern Kentucky Chapter will be the driving force behind a Bike Ride in the Country to benefit ROSA’S (Rescue Our Shelter Animals and Strays), an area animal welfare group.
The ride begins and ends at K & M Feed • Pet • Tack, located on US 27, 9758 Alexandria Pike, in Alexandria, Kentucky. The ride will traverse the many scenic back roads of rural Campbell County. Registration begins at 11 a.m., followed by a noon blessing. The ride itself starts at 1 p.m.
Participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy music, cold drinks, raffles on baskets of goodies, drawings, a split-the-pot, and a “roast hog” dinner for just $7 a plate. Hotdogs, hamburgers, side dishes, and desserts will also be offered.
For those in search of a “forever friend,” ROSA’S will have some of its rescued animals at K & M, ready for adoption.
The main attraction, though, will be the ride. Registration for single riders is $10; couples may registr for $15.
Non-riders are welcome to attend and enjoy the food, fun, and meet the animals.
The Chrome Divas’ mission is to build a positive image of women motorcyclists and enthusiasts; promote motorcycle safety; elevate consciousness of automobile drivers; create awareness of women and children’s issues; and to give back to the community; and most importantly, to ride and have fun.
ROSA’S primary mission is to find permanent homes for adoptable shelter animals and strays. The organization rescues all breeds and emphasizes the importance of training in building a strong bond with adopted pets. Training is included in foster care, and additional training sessions are sponsored by the rescue throughout the year.
