Walmart robbery suspects wanted by Alexandria police

ALEXANDRIA, KY (FOX19) - Police in Alexandria are on the lookout for two suspects wanted to robbing a Walmart store. The men were captured on surveillance Wednesday exiting the store.

There is no word on what was taken or the value.

Police: Business deposit money taken from grocery store manager's office

BELLEVUE, KY (FOX19) - Police in Bellevue have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted for robbing the office of a grocery store manager. Investigators say that on November 19 around 1:25pm a man entered the Save-A-Lot grocery on Donnermeyer Boulevard in Bellevue. 

He entered the manager’s office and took the business deposit from a drawer and then left the store.  The suspect is described as a black male, who was last seen wearing a blue toboggan hat, dark blue hoodie, jeans and a blue and white plaid shirt.

Elderly woman assaulted and robbed during home invasion

CAMPBELL COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - A suspect description has been released from a home invasion that occured in a rural area of Campbell County. Units were called to the 12,000 block of Mary Ingles Highway on December 13 to reports that a elderly woman had been assaulted and robbed.

The 74-year old woman told police that a white male entered her residence and demanded her purse. The suspect struck the woman in the face and took her purse and jewerly box.

Police were able to collect some DNA evidence at the scene. The suspect is described as Male, White, taller, skinny, little to no facial hair, approximately mid-20’s. Two men take clerk's cellphone during armed robbery in Newport

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - Police in Newport are investigating an armed robbery at the A to Z carry out located at 846 Monroe Street. According to surveillance video and reports taken on October 23, two black male suspects came into the store twice to make purchases. The same men came into the store a third time that day and took the clerk's cell phone.

Thief seems to like Newport cigarettes, but not paying for them

FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) - A thief in Fort Thomas has been repeatedly been using the same method to steal cartons of cigarettes. 

Fort Thomas Police says that in each instance, a man enters a gas station and asks for Newport cigarettes.  The clerk pulls the cigarettes and places them in a bag.  The suspect hands the clerk a credit card, which comes back denied.  The thief takes the bag and runs to a waiting older red Chevrolet S-10 pickup.

FRANKFORT, KY (FOX19) - Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has ordered the state government to release records where children died or nearly died in cases involving child abuse or neglect.

Here is a release on the order from the Governor's Office:

Governor Steve Beshear today directed the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) to open the records of cases in which child abuse or neglect resulted in a child fatality or near fatality.

“The death of any child is one too many, which is why it’s imperative state government do all it can to protect our vulnerable children,” said Gov.
