Final three sentenced in toilet-lid murder and body burning
COVINGTON (FOX19) - Marion "Timmy" Parker of Covington has been sentenced to life without parole in the murder of a man who was lured to an apartment to be robbed, along with the murder of his cellmate in the Kenton County Detention Center.
Parker is one of three people sentenced Thursday in the killing of 28-year-old Shawn Davis of Covington in February 2009. Davis was lured to an apartment with a promise of sex. Once he got there, he found himself being robbed and killed by being beaten over the head with the heavy porcelain lid of a toilet tank. He unsuccessfully tried to jump out a second story window to escape the attack.
Also sentenced Thursday were 36-year-old Mary Ann Hartbarger and 27-year-old Patrick Cooke of Covington. Each was sentenced to 25 years, with a possibility of parole before that.
