NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - The Live at the Levee summer concert series kicks off the 2013 season on Thursday, May 23 with Sponge and opening act, The Infinity Ball.

Concerts are held from 7pm - 10pm on Riverfront Plaza next to Newport.

FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) - Legos are not just for little kids. The Fort Thomas library branch will give teenagers a chance to join the fun on Wednesday, May 22.

Ages 11 - 18 are invited to collaborate on cool Lego creations beginning at 4pm, Snacks will be provided.

Town & Country’s 8th Annual Ladies Spring Tea

WILDER, KY (FOX19) - Town & Country will be hosting the 8th Annual Ladies Spring Tea in celebration of Mom's, Grandmother's, and Daughter's 11:00am-1:00pm.

Come and enjoy this free yearly event which is open to the public.  This year a light lunch will be served and there will be a guest speaker from St. Elizabeth.  The St. Elizabeth Cardio Vascular Mobile Health Unit and the Mobile Mammography Van will also be on site.

Vendors include 31 Gifts, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Handmade Creations, Celebrating Home/Penelope Ann, and more.

This is a free event open to the public.  The nursery will be available for children up to 8 years of age for all attendees at no cost until 1pm.

Gateway Urban Center Kicks Off Healthy Happy Hour Series

COVINGTON, KY — Gateway Community and Technical College has begun a new Healthy Happy Hour Series of fun, informative family activities at its Urban Center in downtown Covington at 525 Scott Boulevard. The activities are free of charge and open to the public.

“The activities are designed to help Covington become a healthier, happier community,” said Michael Lee, Gateway director of inclusion and cultural initiatives. “They are part of our outreach to bring the community into Gateway where we make success happen.”

The series began May 7 with Zumba classes that continue for another five weeks on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. “It’s not too late to come and have fun in these Latin-inspired, dance-fitness classes led by licensed instructor Y’Vonne Burkart,” Lee said.

Radio Disney crew returning to Newport Aquarium

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - The Radio Disney road crew is set to appear at the Newport Aquarium and they are bringing Monsters University fun with them.

Monsters University is the prequel film to 2001's Monsters, Inc.

Music, jokes and games will all be a part of the Monsters University event on Saturday, May 18 from 2:30pm - 4:30pm.

Kids can play the Monsters University Laugh-o-meter game and tell their best joke to the crowd. The contestant with the loudest response wins a prize. Plus, kids will be able to draw their own life-size Monster creation. One Grand Prize winner will receive a Monsters, Inc. DVD, hoodie, t-shirt and notebook - a $100 value.

One family will be entered into a grand prize drawing for a trip to Hollywood for the full Monsters University red carpet experience.

The Radio Disney experience is included with regular paid admission to the Aquarium.

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19)  - A festival for area music, art and wine lovers is being held over the weekend in Newport.

The 2013 Newport Jazz, Arts and Wine Festival will feature local wineries, artist booths, and dynamic jazz performances.

The festival will take plasce at Newport on the Levee on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18. Entrance is free to the public.

FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Veteran Affairs Medical Center is hosting a 2K  “walk and roll” event on May 15, 12:00 p.m. at the Fisher House and 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Thomas.

The event was scheduled to coincide with National Employee Health and Fitness Day.
