CINCINNATI (FOX19) -The annual Thanksgiving Day Race will again take place throughout Downtown Cincinnati, the Riverfront area, and Northern Kentucky on Thanksgiving morning.  In order to accommodate this event the following streets, including Second Street, will be closed between 8AM and 12PM:

  • Second Street- all of Second Street will be closed
  • Third St- closed, Broadway to Sycamore & Elm to Central, 1 lane for traffic between Sycamore and Elm, eastbound closed, Gest Street to Central
  • Central Avenue- closed from Third Street to W Pete Rose Way
  • Elm Street- closed from Second Street to Mehring Way
  • Race Street- closed between south of Third Street
  • Rosa Parks Street- closed from Second Street to Freedom Way
  • Walnut Street- closed from Second Street to Freedom Way
  • Joe Nuxhall Way- closed from Mehring Way to Second Street
  • Freedom Way- closed from Elm Street to Rosa Parks Street
  • Main Street- closed from Second Street to Central Parkway
  • Fifth Street- closed from Main Street to Broadway
  • Broadway- closed from Fifth Street to Sixth Street
  • Sixth Street- closed from Broadway to Main Street
  • Central Parkway- eastbound only closed from Main Street to Eggleston Avenue
  • Eggleston Avenue- closed from E Pete Rose Way to Central Parkway (limited access for northbound)
  • E Pete Rose Way- closed from Eggleston Avenue to Broadway
  • Taylor Southgate Bridge- closed
  • Fourth Street in Newport and in Covington closed between the Taylor Southgate and Clay Wade Bailey Bridges
  • Clay Wade Bailey Bridge- closed  

Drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed and use caution when approaching the closure area.
