New cornhole tournament at Newport on the Levee Saturday | Events

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - Newport on the Levee and the American Cornhole Organization (ACO) will host the first Cornhole on the Levee Winter Classic presented by GameWorks this weekend.

The Cornhole on the Levee Winter Classic presented by GameWorks will feature eight ACO open doubles cornhole tournaments in one day. A new tournament will begin every hour from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Gallery Building.  The single elimination tournaments will be limited to 32 teams per hour and participants must be at least 18 years of age.

The winners of each tournament will receive a prize pack, which includes $100 worth of gift cards per participant to Newport on the Levee and Levee venues. The tournament fee is $15 per tournament or two for $20.  Additional tournament sponsors include: AMC Newport 20 Theatres, Bar Louie, BRIO Tuscan Grille, Claddagh  Irish Pub, Four Seasons Swim Club, and Saxbys Coffee.

Beer proceeds from the event will benefit the WAVE Foundation at the Newport Aquarium.
