Highlands High School Presents Guys and Dolls | Events

FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) - Students from Highlands High School’s Drama Department will perform Guys and Dolls, an oddball romantic comedy considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy.

Soaring with the spirit of Broadway, Guys and Dolls introduces us to a cast of vivid characters: Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight “mission doll,” out to reform the evil-doers of Times Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her; Adelaide, the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact that she’s been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancée, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.

Set in New York City in the mid-20th century, the romantic and funny Guys and Dolls is populated with gangsters and gamblers, missionary dolls and showgirls, and one of the greatest musical scores in the history of American theatre.
