Humanity Outpost grand opening celebration on Sunday | Events
NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - The World Peace Bell, Southbank Partners and Cincinnati’s Malton Gallery proudly presents Humanity Outpost, a sculptural exhibition of Peace of Humanity, Grand Opening Celebration Sunday July 1st, at 2 p.m. at the World Peace Bell in Newport.
The Humanity Outpost celebration will be a venue creating a series of cultural events focusing on the arts. Events will encompass art, music, and performance featuring local, regional and international talent.
Joe Meyer, Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet Secretary and a Northern Kentucky native and resident; Wayne Carlisle, the World Peace Bell visionary and developer; and political, civic and community leaders will attend the event.
This event will include proclamations from both the Kentucky House and the Senate, musical performance and ringing of the World Peace Bell. The Humanity Outpost Sculptural exhibition will run July 1 through July 22 at the World Peace Bell. Edward Casagrande is the sculptor of the Humanity Outpost exhibit. The events surrounding the sculptures are designed to engage the entire local community as well as many visitors to the Newport area over three weeks. The exhibition will be funded by corporate sponsors and free to the public.
The Humanity outpost event will breathe new life into the surrounding Peace Bell Park and engage the community to come, experience and enjoy a place of peace, art and humanity.
“Southbank Partners is honored and proud to host The Humanity Outpost Celebration,” said Southbank Partners President Jack Moreland. “The World Choir Games is a regional event, and we are thrilled to be able to host a celebration that will draw visitors in Northern Kentucky’s river communities.”
