NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - The Northern Kentucky Health Department is preparing to launch a new diabetes prevention program this fall.
The public is invited to take part in several preview sessions with the first scheduled for Monday, July 15 at the Newport Branch of the Campbell County Public Library.
The course is being held from 5:30pm - 8:45pm and will cover what pre-diabetes is, lifestyle changes such as how to eat and exercise, as well as the criteria for diagnosing. The class will be taught by a Registered Nurse/Certified Diabetes Educator and a Registered Dietitian.
