Police looking for Dollar General robber in Newport | News
NEWPORT, KY (FOX19)- Newport Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Dollar General on Monday.
Authorities say a white male entered the Dollar General on Monmouth Street around 4:45 p.m. He showed a gun in his waistband and threatend to shoot the clerk, demanding money.
The suspect stole $500 and then fled the store.
According to a Crimestoppers release, investigators believe he was also involved in five other robberies in Covington.
He is described as having a tan face with scraggy facial hair.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call police.
