Search for new NKU president moves forward | News
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY (FOX19)- The first of three finalists in the search for the next President of Northern Kentucky University will be on campus Wednesday and Thursday.
Jonathan Gibralter, the current president of Frostburg State University in Maryland is up first.
On April 2 and 3, Dr. David Eisler, the current President of Ferris State University in Michigan, will be on campus.
Finishing out the visits, Geoffrey Mearns, the current Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Cleveland State University, will be on campus on April 9 and 10.
During each visit, the finalists will meet with the university's regents, administrators, deans, faculty, staff and students. Members of the business, government and general community will also take meetings.
These candidates have some big shoes to fill, replacing Jim Votruba, who retires this summer. Votruba took the position in 1997 and has expanded NKU in almost every way.
