Teen struck by car after falling asleep in driveway | News
ALEXANDRIA, KY (FOX19)- A 17-year-old girl is recovering after police say she was accidentally struck by a car driven by her friend's mother.
It happened Tuesday in the 9700 block of Secretariat Court in Alexandria.
Police say Melissa Tackett was backing out of her driveway when she realized something was behind her vehicle. Police say Tackett's son and his friend had fallen asleep behind the car while stargazing.
The teen was taken to the hospital for a possible leg injury. Her condition is unknown.
No charges are pending.
