Overnight fire destroys vacant home in Newport | News

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -- An overnight fire has destroyed a vacant home in Newport and caused thousands of dollars in damages to neighboring buildings.
Fire crews were called to 738 Columbia Street around 11:45 Monday night. Upon arrival, they found a vacant home completely engulfed in flames.
Crews from Newport, Covington, Southgate and Dayton all responded to extinguish the fire.
There is now a fire investigation team on-site from Campbell County trying to determine a cause.
No injuries have been reported.
Estimated damages to the neighboring properties is between $20,000 and $30,000.
