The Black Dove' film premiered at AMC Newport | News

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -Award winning independent film shot in Cincinnati, ‘The Black Dove,' made its Cincinnati debut Sunday at the AMC in Newport. A screening of "Making of The Black Dove," and a Q&A with director Michael Caporale were also available to those who attended.

The film which stars John Savage, of ‘Hair', tells the story of a man released from prison searching for his lost Gibson Black Dove Guitar. ‘The Black Dove' also stars Sean Young of Ace Ventura, Red West , the movie also has local extras and a local musician from the band Chakras, Patrick Schlick.

The film won the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival gold award for best original dramatic theatrical feature in April.
