Valentine's day coming early to Newport on the Levee | Restaurants

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - Newport on the Levee is inviting visitors to celebrate the most romantic time of year with “Five Days of Love” for five days running Friday, February 10th through Tuesday, February 14th.

Levee visitors will find a special atmosphere at their favorite “date” venues and some surprises as well.  Five places are taking reservations now: Bar Louie, 859-291-4222; BRIO Tuscan Grille, 859-431-0900; Brothers Bar & Grill, 859-291-BROS (reservation any day except Friday and Saturday); Claddagh Irish Pub, 859-581-8888; Mitchell’s Fish Market, 859-291-7454; Star Lanes on the Levee, 859-652-7250.

Other special Valentine’s Day festivities during the “Five Days of Love:

• Free Valentine’s Day Concert with Anna Beljin from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the Levee’s Gallery Building.
• Mitchell’s Fish Market’s last weekend for the Surf and Turf Special, which features a 6 oz. charbroiled filet with choice of Crab Cakes, Shrimp, or Lobster Oscar for $27.95.
• Art on the Levee and StoneBrook Winery will offer Levee guests a special 10% off for selected merchandise during the five days.
• Kentucky Pickens at the Levee will feature a Pre-Valentine’s Day Bourbon & Chocolate Food Tasting on Saturday, February 11th from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The “Kentucky Proud Food Tasting” will feature Kentucky Proud bourbon and chocolate food items from Applecreek Orchards, Bourbon Barrel Foods, Ruth Hunt Candies, and Weisenberger Mills. The tasting is free and open to the public.
• Cold Stone Creamery will feature a special printable coupon on the Levee’s web site for two “Hot Stone Warm & Delicious Desserts” for $9.00. The coupon is listed under the “Five Days of Love” events listing on www.newportonthelevee.com.
• Rainbow Hugs will be giving away a chocolate rose with a purchase of an animal each day during the promotion.
• Claddagh Irish Pub is offering a three course dinner for two featuring classic Irish cuisine with a modern American twist for $50.
