These “streakers” will probably run with their clothes on

CINCINNATI (FOX19) – When the American Heart Association describes this group of nine men as “streakers”, they’re referring to their habit of never missing the Heart Mini 15k since it was started 34 years ago, not to the 1970’s fad of running the streets naked.

The nine runners are committed to keeping their streak alive as they prepare to hit Columbia Parkway to run their 35th Heart Mini 15K on Sunday, March 18.  The annual Mercy Health Heart Mini is anticipating over 18,000 runners and walkers in combined events.

“Maybe our slogan should be, ‘35 and Still Alive,’” said one runner.  Whatever their slogan, their commitment to the Heart Mini is admirable.

The nine runners are Dennis Geiger, Rick Heil, Tim Kling, Dave Lenahan, Dave Nelson, Jack Nienabor, Ron Pfeiffer, John Quatkemeyer, and Jim Royston.
